Performance

At the heart of our success is the inseparable partnership between horse and rider, a bond built on trust, dedication, and mutual respect. But our approach goes beyond this. Every achievement is the result of a collective effort involving a highly qualified team. Innovation and attention to the well-being of our equine athletes are central to our mission.

HORSES

TEAM Project

This project combines academic excellence with experience in the equestrian world, aiming to further enhance the management and welfare of our horse athletes. The project aims to optimize various aspects of care and breeding for sport horses through a series of scientific studies and analyses conducted by the Department of Veterinary Sciences.

One of the most innovative elements of this collaboration is the use of advanced performance monitoring technologies. Thanks to devices like Polar heart rate monitors, accelerometers, and lactate analysis, we will be able to obtain real-time data on the horses’ physical condition during training and competition.

Heart Rate Monitors

The heart rate monitor allows for tracking the horse's heart rate during physical activity, providing crucial information on endurance and fatigue levels. Thanks to a strategic partnership with Polar, the research team can rely on the best tools to monitor the horses' well-being.

Accelerometers

Inertial sensors provide extensive details about the horses' movements. We can gather information such as stride length, rhythm, speed, balance, and jumping characteristics.

Lactate Analysis

Evaluating blood lactate levels helps measure muscle fatigue and adjust training intensity accordingly, ensuring performance improvement without compromising the horse's health.

RIDERS

The project

In our collaboration with Equestrain, we work to support riders through what we call the Performance Triangle

At the heart of our approach lies the athlete’s success, which represents our primary goal.

This outcome is built and sustained by three fundamental pillars: nutrition and recovery, physical fitness and performance, and mindset. Only by providing comprehensive support in each of these areas can we help our athletes reach their full potential.
