Scuderia 1918 announces Henk Nooren as its own Team Manager; in his new prestigious role, the ex Chef d’Equipe of the French Team, will oversee Scuderia 1918’s elite team of riders and horses, guiding the team with strategies and performance, including the youngest talents.
Henk Nooren served several Equestrian Teams as the Chef d’Équipe, where he played a fundamental role in leading the team to numerous international successes. Under his expert guidance, the French team achieved remarkable results, such as the team bronze medal at Olympic Games Paris 2024.
Henk Nooren, as known, is one of the most prominent personalities in the international show jumping world. He is an experienced professional with a far-sighted vision of equestrian sports: very clear ideas, wide knowledge, all added to the passion of a true horseman. He is therefore a reference point of international importance. As a trainer and Chef d’Equipe Henk Nooren has taken individual riders and teams from all over the world to the very top.
“We are thrilled to welcome Henk Nooren into our team,” said Emanuele Anchisi, Co-Founder of Scuderia 1918. “Since our visions match 100%, we believe his guidance will lead to exponential growth and to the achievement of important milestones based on equine welfare, good technique and team spirit”
Maria Anchisi, Co-Founder of Scuderia 1918, added: “It’s a great privilege for us to be guided by such an exclusive horseman. I’m sure that his extremely wide knowledge and view combined with his deep values, his humility, curiosity and meticulous attention to details will lead us to great results.”
Henk Nooren expressed his enthusiasm for the new role: “What attracted me immediately, when Scuderia 1918 offered me a chance to come and work together, were the many different projects in which Scuderia 1918 is operating. First it allows me to remain in contact with the high level sport, and then to be part of various research programs, all around and with the horse. I’m very curious and happy to be part of and to be able to contribute to that”.
Previously, Kevin Staut, a key member of the French team during Henk’s tenure, shared his thoughts: “Henk is related to my improvement in the equestrian sport since 2009, for sure as a rider but also as a horseman. I really believe in his global vision of the sport and respect of the horses. Following his announcement to step down as Chef d’Équipe of the French Team, I am thrilled that he is joining Scuderia 1918 as Team Manager. We need his vision and technical support to achieve our goals. So yeah… let’s play the game with him!”
The commitment of Henk Nooren as Team Manager marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Scuderia 1918. As the team gears up for a competitive 2025 season, the collaboration promises to deliver exceptional performances and innovative approaches to equestrian excellence.
