The Italian qualifying stage of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup (Verona, November 7-10, 2024) will host the first Summit of the Jumping Owners Club, in partnership with Scuderia 1918 and Fieracavalli.
The Summit will take place on Saturday, November 9, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in a dedicated area within Jumping Verona. The purpose of the meeting is for horse owners to share opinions and experiences in order to create synergies and proposals to promote and improve the sport of show jumping, giving absolute priority to horse welfare.
Although athletes – both horses and riders – are always the undisputed protagonists of equestrian sport, it is undeniably the horse owners who accompany, support, and contribute to the success of a pair. Passionate and visionary horsemen and horsewomen with strong knowledge of the industry, owners are the invaluable and irreplaceable advocates of their horse’s sports career.
It is the responsibility of everyone in the equestrian community to uphold the highest standards of integrity and to ensure the welfare of the horses. In this vision, horse owners can be considered the true guardians of the sport and its athletes, given the importance of their role in protecting and enhancing their horses, ensuring them a good life.
“The Jumping Owners Club is proud to join with Scuderia 1918 and Mr. Emanuele Anchisi to host a gathering of show jumping owners during the important World Cup qualifying event in Verona. We are anxious to broaden our membership and to highlight the value of horse ownership in our sport.” Robin Cleary Parsky, Chairman Jumping Owners Club
“Scuderia 1918 pays special attention to the welfare of the horse. Only a horse that is calm and in top shape can become a great champion. We invest heavily in Research & Development and in young people, so we think the Summit is a great place to share our knowledge with other owners and to establish lasting relationships with those who have our passion.” Emanuele Anchisi, founder of Scuderia 1918.
“At Fieracavalli, we strongly believe that the role of the owner should gain increasing importance, given their fundamental contribution to our sport. We are therefore honored that the first edition of the Summit dedicated to owners is taking place right here in Verona.”Armando Di Ruzza, Event Manager di Fieracavalli.
