Born on a farm in Australia, he inevitably grew up in love with nature and animals. One day he asked his parents to buy him a pony… and the rest is history! Ever since he fell in love with the equestrian world, he has done everything he could to follow the competitions.
He was his own first instructor, learning and letting himself be inspired by anyone whenever possible. He made his international debut at the age of 16 by participating in two European championships in the Young Riders category, in Lisbon in 1998 and in Hartbury in 2000.
In order to pursue his sporting career, he decided to move to the UK where he currently lives with his wife Emma, sharing this passion with her. He doesn’t let himself be discouraged because he is aware that “this is a sport of ups and downs, but it’s the downs that make the ups better”.
